The first Keynotathlon, Keynotodecathlon, was created by Mariobrosaa Productions on 24 December 2014, based on 444dymek]'s Paintodecathlon. Keynotodecathlon finished quickly with 10 events, so he then created sequels such as Keynoticosathlon (20 events) and Keynototriacontathlon (30 events). Although Mariobrosaa gained significant popularity from his Keynotathlon series, unlike Algicosathlons, the Keynotathlon genre lacks a cohesive community, as until 2020, the only two Keynotathlon creators were weee50 (althouh with his series resembling more of object shows) and Kyoton-9. However, since Kyoton-9's spike in popularity in late 2024, Keynotathlons have gained some more recognition.
